You will be required to work 36 hours per week any time required including if necessary, early mornings, late evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays. You need to be flexible and work your hours to meet the needs of service users (for example, if a service user needs to be taken to hospital emergency department towards the end of a shift or they wish to undertake a regular early morning activity) and this may be needed at short notice. You will have: experience of working with vulnerable adults or transferable skills gained as e.g. a teacher/nursery worker etc.; an understanding of boundaries; common sense; ability to get on with clients and professionals such as social workers and psychiatrists and enthusiasm. Please note, one of our new Social Networking Caseworkers must be male under the provisions of section 7 of the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 this is to help with running a men’s group, and providing support in male clients’ homes. No agencies please.
