Age UK Croydon aims to ensure the voice of all those in later life is heard, their beliefs upheld, their views respected and their needs met. We are a vibrant, friendly, progressive and influential organisation held in high regard by the local community and Health and Social Care decision makers.

We are an independent organisation, with a Board of Directors, many of whom are residents of Croydon and include representatives of organisations working for older people. The Board of Directors oversee the management of Age UK Croydon and aim to be representative of the community of Croydon.

To strengthen the governance structure and support the Chief Executive, we are looking for new trustees/directors. These are voluntary positions. An enthusiasm to improve the lives of older people is an essential requirement and applicants could come from any walk of life if their skills, experiences and personal attributes can make a difference. If applicants have a background in health, marketing, fundraising, law, small business development or volunteering that would be an added bonus. We would particularly welcome applications from women who are presently under represented on the Board of AUKC.

There would be an initial preliminary meeting with the Chief Executive and Chair followed by an interview with two members of the Board.
